Viral Marketing or The Best Newsletter Ever
July 19th, 2007Lately I checked “newsletter” folder and stumbled across an email from Electronic Arts titled “Come Join Us. Destroy Things“.
I hardly ever read Company XY’s newsletter, because most of the time it is crappy bullshit in these mails, but - forgive me - I read this mail, destroying things just sounds so freaking funny!
The only content of the email was a link “Welcome to Kar Ra Shin“, and later I finally noticed the joke: kar ra shin <=> car ra cing.
Anyway it linked to this page containing a hilarious movie about the roots of Kar Ra Shin, and at the end of this movie you’ll probably notice the word “Burnout” on the bottom. Yep, it’s a marketing campaign for the famous videogame Car racing
