How to remove/hide the GRUB Boot Menu after Upgrading to Gutsy Gibbon?
October 21st, 2007.. and show the “Press ESC to enter Grub Menu” Again?
Edit the file /boot/grub/menu.lst with root privileges (e.g. sudo nano /boot/grub/menu.lst) and uncomment the line which contains hiddenmenu (so you have to remove the # in front of the word) and save it by pressing CTRL+O
Now your system should boot without the GRUB Boot Menu!
